- On New Years day, USR annonced on their BBS service that they are going to
- release a new Windows 95 modem (33.6). Also for the first 100 BBS orders
- they would be free. Additional orders would be $99.99. My brother tried
- and finally got through on 1/2/96 and ordered one. They also stated that
- there is a limit of one per customer. Few days ago he got two (how he got
- two I have no idea) of them for free! He did check his credit card
- company to make sure there was no charges made. Modem appears to work
- just fine. Hasn't played with it enough to say what the differences are
- to the current models. I then tried to call in for the free or $99.99
- offer. Both are closed. Thought some of you would like to know.
-
- I will update the group with more when he has more experience with the modem.
